QS: KNRTU is among the best universities of Eurasia

The rating compilers evaluated the universities basing on 10 indicators, among which were academic reputation and reputation among employers, citedness and the amount of scientific publications (according to Scope data), engagement into the international research connections, correlation of students and professors number, a percentage of the employees with a scholastic degree, as well as of foreign professors and students, and representation on Web-resources (according to Webometrics data).
The overall amount of the universities having entered this rating is 105, 3 of which are situated in Kazan (KFU, KNRTU-KAI and KNRTU- KCTI). Our university placed on the positions 201 to 210 and entered TOP-50 Russian universities, participated in this rating.
Commenting on the rating results, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Mikhail Kotyukov noted: “We have ambitious goals in the field of the educational services export development. Besides the planned double increase of foreign students in the near 5 years, the qualitative constituent still remains the key for us, which consists in attracting talented youth and its employment here, in Russia. We consider educational services export as an all-sufficient economic sphere and make serious investments into the “Russian education” brand.
It is worth to be noted that QS-EECA rating indicator, that evaluates performance of the international activity basing on the percentage of the foreign students has been recently one of the top indicator for KNRTU, as today the primary objective for our university is defining the strategy of educational services promotion on global market scale.
